If you enjoy playing chess then Postcard Chess allows you to either play against the computer online or to play against real people using their email chess system.
At first I thought the computer was fairly easy to beat as I won my first two games but since then its beat me every time and somehow I think there may have been some beginners luck involved in my early successes. Or maybe it was just bad luck in my other games!
